Defect Summary

Daimler trucks north america, llc (dtna) is recalling certain model year 2017 freightliner custom chassis (fccc) s2 bus chassis manufactured november 25, 2015, through april 27, 2016. the brake transmission shift interlock feature may be inoperable making it possible to shift into a drive gear without first pressing the brake pedal.

Safety Consequence

This condition can result in the vehicle moving unintentionally or rolling away, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Corrective Action

Dtna will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle's software, free of charge. the recall began on november 30, 2016. owners may contact dtna customer service at 1-800-547-0712. dtna's number for this recall is fl-726.
