Defect Summary

Supreme corporation (supreme) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 spartan service body, signature van, iner-city and kold king vehicles. the affected vehicles are equipped with equipped with thieman tailgates-brand tvl 12/16 series lift gates supported with roller chains that may fail.

Safety Consequence

Failure of either the street or curb side roller chain would result in that side of the platform falling immediately to the ground without notice, causing an uneven surface and increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Supreme will notify owners, and thieman dealers will inspect and repair the lift gates, as necessary, free of charge. the recall began on november 22, 2016. owners may contact supreme customer service at 1-800-842-4889.
