Defect Summary
Jaguar land rover north america, llc (land rover) is recalling certain model year 2017 jaguar f-type svr vehicles built between february 19, 2016 and august 15, 2016. due to assembly corrections during manufacturing, the bolts connecting the rear lower control arms to the knuckle assembly may fail prematurely.
Safety Consequence
If the lower control arm bolt connecting bolt fails, the rear control arm assembly may separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the bolt that connects the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint, free of charge. the recall is expected to begin on december 19, 2016. owners may contact jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. jaguar's number for this recall is j076.
