Defect Summary
Sprague devices (sprague) is recalling certain heavy-duty bus pantograph wiper arms. the mounting casting that attaches the wiper arms to the wiper motor may crack, possibly causing the arms to bend or detach.
Safety Consequence
A loss of wiper function can reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Sprague will notify the purchasers, and the affected vehicle manufacturers will replace the wiper arms with an improved design, free of charge. the manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. owners may contact sprague at 1-219-872-7295.
