Defect Summary

Silverstone associates llc (silverstone) is recalling certain ride eazy trimless helmets in sizes s, m, l, xl, and xxl. these helmets may not adequately protect the wearer in the event of a head impact during a motorcycle crash. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 218, "motorcycle helmets."

Safety Consequence

A helmet that fails to meet the safety requirements can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Corrective Action

Silverstone will notify owners and will provide a replacement half helmet, free of charge. the recall began on january 10, 2018. Owners may contact silverstone customer service at 1-410-696-7180.
