Defect Summary

Spartan motors usa (spartan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 spartan fleet vehicle and service utilimaster aeromaster vehicles. the affected vehicles are missing a ground wire for the windshield wiper motor, possibly resulting in an intermittent loss of windshield wiper function.

Safety Consequence

A loss of windshield wiper function can reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will add a ground wire for the wiper motor, free of charge. the recall began on august 17, 2017. owners may contact spartan customer service at 1-800-582-3454. spartan's number for this recall is 17018.
