Defect Summary
Trail king industries, inc. (trail king) is recalling certain 2012-2014 tk70hdg, tk80hdg, tk102hdg, tk110hdg, and tk110hed gooseneck trailers. the pivot plate reinforcement in the gooseneck pivot area is shorter than necessary to prevent the pivot plate from cracking.
Safety Consequence
The cracking plate may result in the trailer deck disconnecting from the gooseneck, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Trail king will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the pivot plate for cracks, repairing any that are found, and add reinforcements to the pivot plate, free of charge. the recall began on august 18, 2017. owners may contact trail king customer service at 1-800-843-3324.
