Defect Summary

Trail king industries, inc. (trail king) is recalling certain 2018 fifth wheel live bottom trailers, model olb844ng-hh, manufactured with mpa/mta suspensions equipped with meritor ex225 brakes. the brake caliper bolts on these axles may not be properly torqued which can allow the caliper to detach from the mounting flange.

Safety Consequence

If the caliper bolts are improperly torqued and the caliper detaches from the mounting flange, a loss of braking ability would occur, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Trail king has notified owners and will inspect the caliper bolts, replacing any loose or missing ones, free of charge. the recall began on october 13, 2017. owners may contact trail king customer service at 1-800-843-3324.
