Defect Summary

Advance stores company, incorporated (advance stores) is recalling certain toolworks tw1489 fuse kits sold through advance auto parts and carquest stores. the fuses in the kits may fail to protect the circuit from excessive current.

Safety Consequence

If the circuit is overloaded and the fuse fails to perform as intended, the vehicle wiring and electrical components could be damaged, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Advance stores will notify the known purchasers, and replace the fuse kits with those of another brand, and also provide a full refund, free of charge. owners may contact advance stores customer service at 1-877-238-2623, select option 3.
