Defect Summary

Multiquip, inc. (multiquip) is recalling certain 2018 multiquip trlr45h and trlr70ush trailers. the center-mounted trailer jack may unexpectedly collapse from damage caused by excessive load on the trailer.

Safety Consequence

If the center-mounted jack unexpectedly collapses, there would be an increased risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Multiquip has notified herc rentals, the company that owns all of the affected trailers, and will install additional gussets to the jack crossmember, free of charge. the recall began on march 23, 2018. owners may contact multiquip customer service at 1-800-421-1244. multiquip's number for this recall is tl 20180306.
