Defect Summary

Keystone rv company (keystone) is recalling certain 2020 crossroads hampton and sunset recreational trailers. the breakaway switch may have been incorrectly wired, which can cause the trailer brakes to not function in the event of a trailer separation from the tow vehicle.

Safety Consequence

If the trailer detaches from the tow vehicle, the breakaway switch may not activate the brakes, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will rewire the breakaway switch, free of charge. the recall began july 29, 2019. owners may contact keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. keystone's number for this recall is 19-357.
