Defect Summary

Byd coach & bus (byd) is recalling certain 2019 c8m buses equipped with transpec glass roof escape hatches. temperature and vibration stresses may cause the tempered glass roof hatch to shatter.

Safety Consequence

If the tempered glass roof hatch shatters, glass fragments may fall onto passengers, increasing the risk of an injury.

Corrective Action

Byd has notified the affected owners, and byd technicians will replace the glass roof hatches, free of charge. the recall began july 22, 2019. owners may contact byd customer service at 1-661-940-3250.
