Defect Summary

Forest river, inc. (forest river) is recalling certain 2018-2019 starcraft allstar, allstar xl, and starlite vehicles equipped with safe fleet prolo roof escape hatches. due to a manufacturing issue, the roof hatch external handle may unexpectedly break under reasonable use.

Safety Consequence

If the roof hatch external handle breaks, in the event of an emergency, the hatch cannot be easily opened from outside the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Forest river will notify owners, and dealers will replace the hatch, free of charge. the recall began august 27, 2019. owners may contact forest river customer service at 1-800-748-3440. forest river's number for this recall is 05-1060.
