Defect Summary

Daimler vans usa, llc (dvusa) is recalling certain 2019 mercedes-benz sprinter and freightliner sprinter vehicles. the lashing rails on the side walls may not have been properly installed, possibly resulting in the lashing rails detaching.

Safety Consequence

If the lashing rails disconnect, the cargo could become unsecured, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dvusa will notify owners, and dealers will correctly affix the lashing rails to the side walls, free of charge. dvusa issued owners an interim notification on february 7, 2020. the recall began april 15, 2020. owners may contact dvusa customer service at 1-877-762-8267. dvusa's number for this recall is vs3zuschi.
