Defect Summary

Akron brass company (akron brass) weldon division is recalling certain weldon v-mux vista iv standard lcd displays used for controlling emergency vehicle lighting and hvac functions. these displays may experience low voltage spikes, and cause the lcd display to lock up or become nonfunctional, due to varying electrical installations.

Safety Consequence

If the lcd display becomes locked up or non-functional it can delay emergency efforts, which can increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Akron brass will notify owners, and dealers will repair or replace the iv standard lcd displays, free of charge. The recall began october 28, 2020. owners may contact akron brass customer service at 1-800-228-1161. akron brass's number for this recall is 20-10.
