Defect Summary

Vac-tron equipment, llc (vac-tron) is recalling certain 2015-2020 htv573pto, 2016-2020 htv373pto, htv873pto, jtv873pto, and 2021-2022 htv873pto vehicles. these vehicles have a rear extremity that extends more than 24 inches behind the rear impact guard.

Safety Consequence

A vehicle crashing into the back of the truck could travel under the rear of the truck, increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Vac-tron will notify owners, and dealers will install a remedy kit to prevent vehicles from going under the truck in a crash. the kits and installation will be free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed on january 5, 2022. Owners may contact vac-tron customer service at 1-352-728-2222. vac-tron's number for this recall is vvk0011.
