Defect Summary

Keystone rv company (keystone) is recalling certain 2020 hideout 290lhs recreational trailers. these vehicles were incorrectly built with 3500 pound axles and st205/75r14d tires and rims rather than the 4400 pound axles and st225/75r15d tires and rims as specified on the federal identification tag.

Safety Consequence

The incorrect axle, tires and rims can result in the operator overloading the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will replace the incorrect axle, tires, and rims with 4400 pound axles, st225/75r15d tires and matching rims, free of charge. the recall began october 16, 2020. owners may contact keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. keystone's number for this recall is 20-388.
