Defect Summary
Alamo group inc. (alamo) is recalling certain 2012-2021 schwarze a7 cng, a8 cng, and a9 cng street sweepers mounted on freightliner m2-112 chassis and equipped with a horizontal exhaust system. lightweight debris, such as leaves, may build up in front of the sweeping head and accumulate against the chassis exhaust system.
Safety Consequence
Debris against the exhaust system increases the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
Dealers will install an exhaust tailpipe extension tube, free of charge. owners notification letters were mailed on january 14, 2022. Owners may contact alamo group customer service at 1-830-379-1480.
