Defect Summary

Vermeer manufacturing company (vermeer) is recalling certain 2015-2021 ax19 brush chipper trailers. a crack may develop in the undercarriage frame and cause the frame to bend.

Safety Consequence

A bent frame may cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

The remedy is still under development. vermeer issued owners an interim notification letter on may 27, 2021. owner notification letters were mailed on june 17, 2021. owners may contact vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. vermeer's number for this recall is ik4078.
