Defect Summary

Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2016-2018 amg gt vehicles. the bonding between the carbon-fiber driveshaft and the flange may be insufficient, which could result in driveshaft separation.

Safety Consequence

A separated driveshaft may cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and replace the carbon-fiber driveshaft, as necessary, free of charge. owner letters were mailed october 15, 2021. owners may contact mbusa customer service at 1-800-367-6372. mbusa's number for this recall is 2021090008.
