Defect Summary
Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2019 g550 vehicles. the fuel tank may not have been welded properly during manufacturing, which could result in a fuel leak.
Safety Consequence
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of fire.
Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the fuel tank, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed september 3, 2021. owners may contact mbusa customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
