Defect Summary
Prevost car (us) inc. (prevost) is recalling certain alternator belts. please see the safety recall report for a complete list of affected part numbers. in the event of the alternator front bearing seizing, the alternator belt may continue to operate, causing the bearing to overheat.
Safety Consequence
An overheated alternator bearing can increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
Prevost will replace the alternator belt, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed september 26, 2022. owners may contact prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046.
