Daimler trucks north america, llc (dtna) is recalling certain 2022 freightliner cascadia vehicles. a certain combination of software and anti-lock brake system (abs) hardware may lead to a system error, possibly causing a loss of vehicle braking and the inability to set the parking brake.
Safety Consequence
A loss of brakes increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dtna service facilities will update the software, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed on march 10, 2022. owners may contact dtna customer service at 1-800-547-0712. dtna's number for this recall is fl919.
