Defect Summary
Marion body works inc. (marion body works) is recalling one 2018 international sr525 emergency vehicle equipped with feature codes 12vxt or 12vxu. with the parking brake applied and the automatic transmission in the 'drive' or 'reverse' position, and when the stationary pto switch is engaged by the operator, the engine rpm will ramp up and may overcome the parking brake's ability to hold the vehicle.
Safety Consequence
Unintended vehicle movement increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Marion body works will update the engine control module to enable the pto neutral interlock, free of charge. the affected vehicle is within manufacturer's control, and therefore no owner notification letter will be mailed. owners may contact marion's customer service at 1-715-754-5261. marion's number for this recall is 19v-841.
