Defect Summary
Ducati north america (ducati) is recalling certain 2016-2018 hyperstrada 939, hypermotard 939, and hypermotard 939 sp motorcycles. the two oil cooler hoses could contact each other and become damaged, which could cause an oil leak.
Safety Consequence
An oil leak could drip onto the rear tire, and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Corrective Action
Dealers will install an oil cooler hose spacer, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed october 28, 2022. owners may contact ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. ducati's number for this recall is srv-rcl-22-002.
