Defect Summary

R.h. Sheppard co., inc. (r.h. Sheppard) is recalling certain steering gear assemblies, model numbers, hd94p, m100p, hd94s, m110p, m83p, md83, sd110p, and xd120p. the steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.

Safety Consequence

A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

R.h. Sheppard will work with the affected vehicle manufacturers to replace the defective gears, free of charge. vehicle manufacturers will be notified in december 2023. owners may contact r.h. Sheppard customer service at 1-717-637-3751.
