Defect Summary

Continental tire the americas, llc (continental) is recalling certain crosscontact lx25 tires with sizes 235/55r18 100h and 225/65r17 102h. the tires may contain rubber compound contaminated with small metal fragments.

Safety Consequence

Metal contaminants in the tire sidewalls can cause a sudden loss of air pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed october 24, 2023. owners may contact continental customer service at 1-888-799-2168.
