Defect Summary

Terex advance mixer, inc. (terex) is recalling certain 2022 front discharge mixer commander vehicles. the front-drive steer axle fasteners may not have been tightened sufficiently and could come loose, resulting in a complete separation of the axle assembly joints.

Safety Consequence

Steer axle assembly separation can result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Meritor will inspect and repair the axle assembly joints, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed may 18, 2023. owners may contact terex customer service at 1-800-678-5961.
