Cooktop gas valves may fracture causing gas leak
Defect Summary
Shadow trailer, llc (shadow trailer) is recalling certain 2016-2023 living quarter trailers, equipped with certain sds2 2-burner drop-in cooktops. the internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak.
Safety Consequence
A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
Service centers will order repair kits directly from the equipment supplier, suburban manufacturing, and install the kits, free of charge. The remedy for previously sold vehicles is still under development. Owner notification letters were mailed april 10, 2023. Owners may contact shadow trailer customer service at 1-352-529-2190.
