Defect Summary

Buell motorcycles (buell) is recalling certain 2021-2022 1190 rx and sx motorcycles. the index spring may be installed improperly.

Safety Consequence

An improperly installed index spring may result in the inability to shift into the intended gear, or cause the gear to slip without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will install the index spring in the correct position, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed may 5, 2023. owners may contact buell customer service at 1-616-719-5917.
