Defect Summary

Stoughton trailers, llc (stoughton) is recalling certain 2023-2024 intermodal container chassis. the wheel lug nuts are improperly tightened.

Safety Consequence

Improperly tightened lug nuts can allow the wheel to detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Stoughton will inspect and tighten the lug nuts, as necessary, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed july 19, 2023. owners may contact stoughton customer service at 1-608-873-2580.
