Defect Summary

Daimler trucks north america, llc (dtna) is recalling certain 2023 freightliner m2 vehicles. the driveshafts can break under certain loading conditions.

Safety Consequence

A broken driveshaft can separate and cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the driveshafts, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed november 30, 2023. owners may contact dtna customer service at 1-800-547-0712. dtna's number for this recall is fl980.
