Defect Summary
Porsche cars north america, inc. (porsche) is recalling certain 2023 taycan, taycan 4s, taycan turbo s, taycan turbo, taycan gts, taycan 4 cross turismo, taycan 4s cross turismo, taycan turbo s cross turismo, taycan turbo cross turismo, and taycan gts sport turismo vehicles. the high-voltage battery may have an insufficient amount of sealant, which can allow liquid to accumulate in the battery.
Safety Consequence
Liquid accumulation in the high voltage battery can cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
Dealers will test the battery for leakage and replace the battery as necessary, free of charge. owner notification letters are expected to be mailed october 31, 2023. owners may contact porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. porsche's number for this recall is apb2.
