Defect Summary

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024 anthem and pinnacle vehicles. a software programming error may cause the electronic stability control (esc) to be inoperative.

Safety Consequence

Driving with an inoperative electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will reprogram the control unit software, free of charge. owner notification letters are expected to be mailed december 3, 2023. owners may contact mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. mack's number for this recall is sc0450.
