Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024 md trucks. the steering wheel attachment bolt may loosen and separate from the steering shaft, causing the steering wheel to detach.
Safety Consequence
A detached steering wheel can cause a loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. dealers will replace the steering wheel retention bolt, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed november 20, 2023. owners may contact mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. mack's number for this recall is sc0453.
