Lonestar specialty vehicles is recalling certain 2021-2023 sv hybrid electric s22 terminal tractors. the vehicle control unit (vcu) may disable the battery management system (bms) isolation measurement feature, preventing the detection of a high voltage battery pack malfunction.
Safety Consequence
An operator may be unaware of a high voltage battery pack malfunction, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
Lonestar specialty vehicles has released an over-the-air (ota) vcu software update, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed january 19, 2024. owners may contact lonestar customer service at 1-903-306-0801.
