Defect Summary

Britax child safety, inc. (britax) is recalling certain one4life slim clicktight all-in-one car seats with model numbers e1d197a, e1d197b, e1d197f, and e1d197g. the labels and user guide incorrectly state the maximum rear-facing lower anchor weight. as such, these child seats fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 213, "child restraint systems."

Safety Consequence

An incorrect label and user guide may result in an improperly installed child seat, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Action

Britax will mail owners new labels, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed beginning december 18, 2024. owners may contact britax customer service at 888-427-4829.
