Waymo llc (waymo) is recalling certain 5th generation automated driving systems (ads) with software versions released prior to december 20, 2023. the ads systems may inaccurately predict the movement of a towed vehicle.
Safety Consequence
Inaccurately predicting the movement of another vehicle increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Waymo has updated the ads software, free of charge. all affected vehicles were repaired by january 12, 2024.
