Parking brake may release unexpectedly
Defect Summary
Orscheln products l.l.c. (orscheln) is recalling certain park brake levers part numbers, 23039400; 23039401; 23039402; 1334100; 23028901; and 01331401. the secondary latch may fail to catch, allowing the parking brake to be released without pressing the release button.
Safety Consequence
A parking brake that is released unexpectedly may result in a vehicle roll away, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect secondary latch and, rework as necessary, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed april 18, 2024. owners may contact orscheln customer service at 1-660-269-4900.
