Defect Summary

Thermo king corp. (thermo king) is recalling certain tripac-3 auxiliary power units (apu) with part number 800908, manufactured between april 8, 2024, and may 15, 2024. the apu mounting kits contain mounting bolts that are too short and can loosen.

Safety Consequence

Loose bolts may result in the apu detaching from the vehicle and becoming a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and replace the apu mounting bolts, as necessary, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed july 26, 2024. owners may contact thermo king customer service at 1-952-887-2200.
