Defect Summary

Kuat innovations llc (kuat racks) is recalling certain transfer v2 bicycle hitch racks. the pivot cams may become disengaged, which can cause the bike rack to unexpectedly drop.

Safety Consequence

A bicycle rack that drops unexpectedly can cause a bicycle to detach and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

The remedy is currently under development. owners are advised not to use their bike rack until the remedy has been completed. kuat racks will provide owners a redesigned pivot pedal, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed july 22, 2024. owners may contact kuat racks customer service at 417-889-5820.
