Defect Summary

Lippert is recalling certain curt helux pin boxes, part numbers 2024032921, 2024032924, 2024032925 and 2024113005; installed in lippert 5w chassis. the pin box fasteners may have been improperly tightened.

Safety Consequence

The fasteners can loosen and fall out, allowing the tow vehicle to detach from the pin box and increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Lippert will work with the vehicle manufacturers to tighten the fasteners, free of charge. vehicle manufacturers will notify their affected owners. owners may contact lippert at 1-574-538-4514.
