Defect Summary

Continental tire the americas, llc (continental) is recalling certain procontact gx ao tires, size 255/35r19. the design of the tire may cause excessive heat buildup, resulting in belt separation.

Safety Consequence

Belt separation can cause a sudden loss of tire air pressure and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed october 18, 2024. owners may contact continental customer service at 1-888-799-2168.
