Defect Summary

Shyft group is recalling certain 2023-2025 spartan rv k2, k3, and k4 chassis. the steering gear may have foreign material inside the gear that could build pressure within the system, resulting in a loss of power steering assist.

Safety Consequence

A sudden loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Shyft group will remove and replace the steering gear, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed march 21, 2024. owners may contact shyft group customer service at 1-800-237-7806. shyft group's number for this recall is 24-01.
