Defect Summary

Navistar, inc. (navistar) is recalling certain 2024 ic bus ce school buses. the steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.

Safety Consequence

A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and replace the defective gears, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed september 30, 2024. owners may contact navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. navistar's number for this recall is 24504.
