Defect Summary

Livewire ev, llc (livewire) is recalling certain 2024 s2dm (s2 del mar) motorcycles. the vehicle supervisory control (vsc) software may initiate and cause a powertrain shutdown as a result of internal software voltage thresholds being exceeded.

Safety Consequence

An unexpected powertrain shutdown can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Livewire will release an over-the-air (ota) software update. owner notification letters were mailed march 5, 2024. owners may contact livewire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. livewire's number for this recall is 1001.
