Defect Summary
Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 maverick vehicles. the body control module (bcm) may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear tail lights.
Safety Consequence
Rear tail lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will update the bcm software, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed may 10, 2024. owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. ford's number for this recall is 24s24.
