Defect Summary

Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2023-2024 transit vehicles equipped with a transit trail package. the electronic power assist steering (epas) ground eyelet joint may experience corrosion, which can result in a loss of power steering assist.

Safety Consequence

A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will install a new epas ground pigtail kit, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed on january 10, 2025. owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. ford's number for this recall is 24s46.
