Defect Summary

Kalmar solutions, llc (kalmar) is recalling certain 2016-2017 ottawa t2 6x4 vehicles. the air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 121, "air brake systems."

Safety Consequence

Insufficient air volume can reduce braking performance and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the air tank, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed september 24, 2024. owners may contact kalmar customer service at 1-785-229-6327.
