Defect Summary

Motor coach industries (mci) is recalling certain 2021 d45crtele vehicles. an error in the battery module software may cause an over-current condition during battery charging, resulting in battery damage.

Safety Consequence

Battery damage can cause battery cells to short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Mci will replace the batteries, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed september 6, 2024. owners may contact mci customer service at 1-800-241-2947.
